Dmitry Smola attended the Council of the Federation «round table»

The LEAD Consulting Senior Associate Dmitry Smola on February 26, 2015 took part in the “round table” discussion held by the Council of the Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on the modernization of the system of execution of judicial acts by means of the forced sale of the debtors’ property. As a seasoned litigator and expert on enforcement of judicial acts, Dmitry actively participated in the discussion of this highly important and up-to-date topic and shared with the fellow participants of the “round table” several practical ideas derived from the practice of the LEAD Consulting Law Firm.

The event featured attendance of the Director of the Federal Service of Court Bailiffs – Chief Court Bailiff of Russia Mr. Parfenchikov, deputies of the State Duma and members of the Council of the Federation, representatives of the Federal Agency for the Management of State Property, and members of several law firms and attorneys’ associations, as well as scholars from important law departments and law schools.

Participants of the “round table” put forward several comments and practical propositions on the matters of overall modernization of the system of execution of judicial acts by means of the forced sale of the debtors’ property, introductions of amendments into respective federal laws, implementation of the modern IT- solutions (electronic auctions) as the principle means of sale of the debtors’ property in course of the enforcements proceedings, as well as motivation of the debtors to the timely voluntary execution of judicial acts.
