12.10.2019 the first in the history European skateboarding championship, attended by athletes from 24 countries, took place in Nizhny Novgorod. The competition was the qualification start of the selection for the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, where skateboarding will be presented for the first time as an Olympic discipline. The Skateboarding Federation of Russia did a great job in organizing and organizing the championship. Alexander Linnikov, who personally attended the championship, is a member of its Board of Trustees. Among the guests of the competition were the head of the International Roller Sports Federation Sabatino Araku, as well as the President of the Russian Skateboarding Federation Ilya Vdovin, who thanked the athletes for their high appreciation of the tournament and called the past competitions historical.
