On 14/03/2022 founder of Linnikov & Partners told the viewers of RUSSIA-24 about the negative impact of EU and US economic sanctions against the Russian Federation on the economies of member-states of the EU. According to Alexander Linnikov, connections between the European and Russian economies are so deep and stable that their sudden disruption will have a detrimental effect on European companies, financial stability of European states and wellbeing of citizens of the European Union. In 2019 German experts assessed the losses of the European Union due to EU sanctions against Russia imposed in 2014 at over 20 billion Euros per year, while today there is an opinion that only several weeks of aggressive escalation of sanction pressure on Russia in the wake of the Ukraine crisis might have cost the EU economy over 30 billion Euros.
