04/05/2026 The founder of L&P in the economic news program of the RUSSIA24 channel commented on the issue of the rapprochement between Armenia and the EU and the consequences.

In order to analyze the possible consequences of the transition to European standards for Armenia, it is necessary to once again refer to the experience of the Eastern European states that joined the European Union. The transition to European standards in various fields has primarily had a negative impact on small and medium–sized businesses, which have not always been able to incur additional costs, Alexander Linnikov noted and added: Visa liberalization between Armenia and the EU can indeed become a significant problem for a country with a population of less than 3 million people. This is evidenced by the experience of some States. One can recall, for example, Greece, Portugal or even Italy, which experienced a significant outflow of personnel, especially skilled workers (or specialists in working professions) after the final liberalization of the common market of the European Union.
