05/03/2026, the founder of L&P gave a speech at the opening meeting of the BRICS+ Council for the Development of Entrepreneurship under the Commissioner for the Protection of Entrepreneurs’ Rights in the City of Moscow. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Department of Foreign Economic and International Relations of the Moscow Government, public figures, and representatives of the Russian and international business community.

Opening the first meeting of the Council, Tatyana Sizova outlined the main objective of its work as facilitating the creation of a common space where it will be easier for BRICS+ businesses to negotiate, protect the rights of entrepreneurs, and create conditions for mutually beneficial cooperation.

In his speech on the challenges of supporting international transactions between BRICS+ countries, Alexander Linnikov highlighted the critical issue of a lack of unified legal regulation in various fields, which significantly complicates the interaction of business partners.

When building relationships between entrepreneurs from different member states, it is important to exercise reasonable conservatism and use existing traditional institutions and instruments of international private law, such as the Geneva Convention on the International Sale of Goods and the New York Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards of 1958. In this regard, we share the same opinion as our respected colleagues from India, China, and the UAE: in the contracts and agreements that are currently being drafted between our clients from different countries, we apply universally recognized norms of international private law and strive to choose methods for resolving international commercial disputes that are least affected by international conflicts and political disagreements,” emphasized Alexander Linnikov.
