30/05/2025 Tatiana Tsepkina made a comment on the work of arbitration courts in bankruptcy cases on the pages of the Advocate Newspaper. The article “In 2024, the number of applications for bankruptcy of legal entities submitted to the courts decreased” provides an analysis of indicators from the Report of the Judicial Department at the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation for 2024.

Published statistics on the work of arbitration courts over the past year show that practice is increasingly devoted to cases of insolvency of citizens.

An increase in the number of individual bankruptcy filings indicates that the population is facing serious financial problems, while a decrease in the number of corporate bankruptcy filings shows that businesses prefer alternative ways to restructure their businesses or simply cease operations without resorting to bankruptcy procedures,” says the head of L&P’s Insolvency and Bankruptcy practice. Tatiana Tsepkina, complementing her comment for the main publication of the Russian legal community.
