22/09/26, a press conference was held at TASS by the Commissioner for the Protection of Entrepreneurs’ Rights in the City of Moscow, dedicated to practical mechanisms for integrating Moscow business into the economic space of the BRICS+ countries. The occasion for the discussion was the outcomes of the BRICS Business Forum of September 11 and the XVIII BRICS Summit, which took place from September 12 to 13, held under India’s chairmanship in New Delhi.
Alexander Linnikov took part in the event. In his remarks, he presented the key results of the work of the BRICS Business Council and outlined the arsenal of practical instruments needed by Moscow entrepreneurs to enter the dynamically growing markets of the member countries of the association. At the center of his attention was the practical implementation of the key provisions of the New Delhi Declaration, aimed at countering protectionism, simplifying customs and logistics procedures, and systematically expanding settlements in national currencies.
Alexander Linnikov paid special attention to the technology sector and the protection of intellectual rights. The active transfer of Moscow IT developments and “Smart City” digital solutions requires the development of unified standards for the protection of brands, patents and algorithms across the BRICS+ space, as well as coordinated approaches to regulating artificial intelligence.
