08/04/2024 the founder of L&P spoke on the air of Kommersant FM radio station with a comment on the consequences and problems with payments from credit institutions in Kazakhstan.

The problem with significant delays in payments to Kazakhstan are indeed a matter of concern. In all likelihood, Kazakh banks are now paying increased attention to compliance checks of clients who work with Russian companies, check all payments coming from Russia and going to Russia, in such a way as to protect themselves from the risks of sanctions. This applies to all currencies. According to reports received from clients of Kazakh banks, delays amount to two to three weeks or even more. It is to be feared that this phenomenon will continue. Kazakh banks and banks of other countries cannot be fully confident that a particular client is not subject to US or European Union sanctions. And the risks of restricting access to the US and EU financial systems for foreign banks are quite high and can be fraught with loss of business. Therefore, credit institutions are being cautious,” says Alexander Linnikov.
