27/03/2024, the founder of L&P told viewers of the economics news channel “MOSCOW-24” about the consequences of removing the Mir Pay mobile application from the Google store.

Removing the Mir Pay app, which allows you to use MIR cards, will certainly cause inconvenience to those who are used to it. It is no secret that the U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Supervision is actively working among companies and banks that continue to cooperate with Russian counterparties and clients, insisting on the termination of such cooperation. Today’s news is a manifestation of the fact that Samsung and Google take the warnings of the American financial authorities seriously and seek to stop working with Russian companies that are included in the American sanctions lists,” says Alexander Linnikov and adds: “Many Russian banks have already found ways to download their applications to customers’ devices that allow them to save the same functionality. I am confident that Russian banks and payment service operators will promptly seek high-quality alternatives for applications previously familiar to users.”
