“More than 30% of the German economy is industry, in particular mechanical engineering, energy–intensive sectors of the economy, which are experiencing the consequences of a significant increase in energy prices. In April 2022, 35% of the gas imported to Germany came from Russia. Today, the German industry has found other suppliers, but energy prices have increased significantly, which has led to a recession in the German economy,” says Alexander Linnikov.
