ROUND TABLE OF THE FEDERATION COUNCIL «IMPROVEMENT OF MECHANISM FOR THE APPOINTMENT AND PROLONGATION OF CUSTODY, BAIL, AND OTHER PREVENTIVE MEASURES»

18.07.2019 Alexander Linnikov took part in the round table of the Committee of the Council of the Federation on Constitutional Legislation Improvement of mechanism for the choice and prolongation of detention, bail and other preventive measures. In course of the discussion on one of the most sensitive and complex matters of today’s criminal justice the representatives of different branches of the government, members of the academic community and public organizations, and legal scholars expressed their respective positions. Special attention was paid to increasing the role of the prosecutor in the procedure of selection of preventive measures and, also, to the issue of application of preventive measures to defendants in criminal cases in the field of business.
